The Lessons
Qualified and experienced teachers provide private instruction for the beginner, intermediate and advanced student. Our teachers provide private one on one lessons with the student, either at our studios or in your home.

Instrument lessons (piano or violin) and vocal lessons are held weekly from September to June and also include theory, ear training and music appreciation. The style of music taught, covers the entire spectrum from classical music to popular music.

Individual music lessons are a very effective way of learning to play an instrument or sing. Kids who take music lessons learn discipline, confidence and build self esteem. Playing the piano also develops skills such as concentration, eye-hand coordination, critical thinking and creativity.

The Teaching Style
Students are strongly encouraged to participate in the Royal Conservatory of Music Examination Program. More than 40,000 Canadians participate and perform in local music festivals and recitals.

The first experience that a child has with a music teacher is very important. A teacher can help develop or hinder your growth and instill bad habits. Building a strong musical foundation is very important whether you are a casual player or want to be a stage performer.

Each student is an individual. The teacher will strive to select an appropriate repertoire that will conform to the student's abilities and interest. While at the same time, providing enough difficulty and challenge to motivate and instill the pride of accomplishment. The more advanced the student is, the more time the student will spend taking lessons and practicing.

Our mandate is to teach and provide the supportive environment for the student to grow both musically and personally, with the emphasis on teaching proper technique and turning out students who can read music.

Just as every kid who plays a sport will not become a professional athlete, neither will every student become a virtuoso.

Perhaps the greatest benefit of taking music lessons is the effect it has on your spirit. The ability to express yourself in a universal musical language, or just to relax and have fun. The gift of music can last a lifetime!
